From the peaks of Pakistan's north to the streets of Europe — documenting the world one journey at a time.
Discover the Journey →"A traveler by soul, an explorer by choice, and a storyteller by passion."
Hafiz Zain ur Rahman Gill — widely known as Zain Gill — was born in Pakistan in 1993 and is currently based in the United Kingdom. A passionate traveler, explorer, and aspiring travel vlogger, Zain has dedicated much of his life to discovering new places, experiencing diverse cultures, and building meaningful connections with people from around the world.
Zain graduated with a degree in Business Management from the University of Bedfordshire, England, in 2017. Prior to moving to the United Kingdom for higher education, he pursued studies in ACCA in Pakistan. His academic journey reflects determination, resilience, and a commitment to personal growth despite various challenges along the way.
Growing up in an artistic and intellectually vibrant environment greatly influenced his personality and interests. His father, Tariq Gill, is a renowned contemporary visual artist, educator, sculptor, and painter based in Pakistan. Being raised in a household that valued creativity, education, and cultural exploration helped cultivate Zain's curiosity about the world.
Before pursuing his academic and travel ambitions, Zain was deeply involved in cricket. From playing in the streets and local grounds during childhood to participating in school and college competitions, cricket became a significant part of his early life. His passion eventually led him to join professional hard-ball cricket clubs in Lahore, training and competing at clubs associated with the Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA), located adjacent to the iconic Gaddafi Stadium.
During this period, Zain had the opportunity to play alongside several talented cricketers who later went on to represent Pakistan at the international level, compete in County Cricket in the United Kingdom, and participate in Pakistan's domestic cricket structure — including notable matches against members of the Pakistan Women's International Cricket Team.
A major turning point came during the selection trials for PEPSI Under-19 Cricket. Competing among hundreds of aspiring players, Zain performed exceptionally well and secured a position among the shortlisted candidates. However, he later discovered that his name had allegedly been replaced through influential recommendations — a disappointing experience that ultimately marked the end of his ambitions in competitive cricket. His parents encouraged him to focus on his studies and long-term career development.
While studying in the United Kingdom, Zain faced one of the most difficult periods of his life when he underwent a major surgery at Queen's Hospital, Romford, England. Despite significant medical challenges and a lengthy recovery — and despite being advised by some to consider returning to Pakistan — Zain remained determined to complete his education. He successfully overcame these challenges and completed his degree, demonstrating the strength of character that continues to define his journey today.
After graduating, Zain spent time in Pakistan during a difficult period following the passing of his mother. The loss profoundly impacted his life and outlook, strengthening his appreciation for family, personal growth, and meaningful experiences. After several years, he returned to the United Kingdom, where he continues to live and pursue his ambitions.
